Netgear has unveiled the Nighthawk AXE3000 WiFi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter (A8000) USB network card. It can operate in the 6 GHz band with a maximum data rate of 1200 Mbps. Only owners of Windows 11 will be able to take advantage of the new adapter, since other operating systems, including macOS and Windows 10, do not support operation in the 6 GHz band and the card will not fully function in these systems. The Nighthawk AXE3000 adapter has a tri-band mode of 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz and supports Wi-Fi 6E. In 5 GHz and 6 GHz modes, its maximum speed is 1200 Mbps, for 2.4 GHz – 600 Mbps. The power of the USB card is enough to uninterruptedly watch content in 4K-8K, stream in high definition, participate in video conferences and play online games. The card is connected directly to the computer’s USB port or through an L-shaped docking station.
